WHAT IS CARDIO TENNIS?
Cardio Tennis is a new, fun group activity featuring drills to give players of all abilities an ultimate, high energy workout. This unique fitness/tennis clinic is packed with tennis drills, sport specific training stations, great music, and lots of FUN! Improving fitness is perhaps the quickest way to improve tennis performance and results. Taught by a certified teaching professional, Cardio Tennis includes a warm-up, Cardio workout, and cool down phase. Polar Heart Rate Monitors are available for participants to wear to keep up with their progress. Each participant is working to keep their individual heart rate in their Cardio Workout Zone which is 65-85% of their maximum heart rate. Cardio Tennis is a fitness first tennis class. You will burn more calories in a 1-hour Cardio Tennis class than by playing singles or doubles. More information here at http://cardiotennis.com/index.cfm.

Three easy ways to register:- Fill out a printable registration form. Mail it to CORTA with your check.
- Come by the CORTA office (Monday-Friday 1:30-5:30pm).
- Call CORTA at 706-317-4136 to register by phone using a credit card.
MISSED CLASSES - If you must miss a class, you may 1.) Send a sub - offer your place to a friend so that they can try Cardio Tennis; or 2.) Make up a missed class on another day within the same session, but you must call in advance to be sure there is space available.
INCLEMENT WEATHER - Please call Cooper Creek Tennis Center at 706-317-4186 one hour before the class time. If a class is canceled due to inclement weather, it will be added to the end of your session on the same scheduled day and time. Vouchers may be issued if necessary.
WAIVER - Because of the nature of this class, we recommend that you consult with a physician before participating in Cardio Tennis or any activity that involves an exercise routine. MONITORS - We recommend that you wear a heart-rate monitor to guide you to stay in the correct zone for your best workout. Monitors are available for use or purchase ($65.00). Please plan to arrive early to allow time to program the monitor with your personal settings. EQUIPMENT -
- Racquets
- Participants must bring their own racquets.
- Clothing
- Wear tennis shoes and comfortable clothing.
- Balls
- Tennis balls are provided by CORTA.
- Water
- Water is available on each court, however you may bring your own water or sports drink.
