Columbus Regional Tennis Association (CORTA)

CORTA, located in Columbus, Georgia, was originally founded in 1952. This non-profit organization has a current membership of over 2,400 and is located at Cooper Creek Tennis Center, the nation's largest public clay court facility. CORTA, the USTA 2002 Member Organization of the Year and the USTA Georgia 2007 CTA of the Year, is dedicated to the promotion, development, growth and support of tennis in the region. CORTA's mission statement is, "to promote the development of tennis as a means of healthy recreation and lifelong physical fitness."

The CORTA office will be closed Friday, July 4th in celebration of Independence Day.
The office will reopen on Monday, July 7th at 1:30 p.m. Best wishes for a safe and happy holiday!

The Board of Directors of CORTA is taking a survey of CORTA members to determine the level of interests that exists for developing the property CORTA now owns that is adjacent to Cooper Creek Tennis Center.

CORTA's Junior Female and Male Players of the Year both had outstanding results at the Southern Closed Championships, June 14-21, 2008.

CORTA was well represented in the USTA Georgia Senior League Championships this past weekend. Three CORTA teams will advance to the USTA Southern Sectional Championships - Breault 3.5W, Scheer 4.0M, and Pease 4.5M - Finalist Brenda Oswalt 3.0W.
